Works Looking for a Publisher

I currently have available some new manuscripts that might interest you.  A Squeaky Halloween, with Stephanie Mirmina, an early chapter book in five chapters, tells of timid Sammy Guinea Pig who is spooked by the Halloween because the costumes scare him. The costume he makes for himself at the last minute starts to unravel almost immediately and makes it hard for him to see. When he arrives for the school Halloween parade, he is confronted with a "real" monster that scares everyone on the playground. Sammy finds his inner strength to confront the monster even though he can’t see it. He saves the school and discovers that Halloween isn’t so scary after all.

This is one of a series of books about Sammy and the other students in Ms. Muskrat’s class at Forest Elementary School. Phillip Porcupine, Emily Badger, Raymond Rabbit, Leon Squirrel and Miranda Hedgehog all interact to make Ms. Muskrat’s class rules most likely to be broken. Classroom Rules is another book in the series, where Emily Badger learns that teasing isn’t always fun, especially when you are the one being teased.

My co-author, Stephanie Mirmina, a Reading Specialist, and I are planning further stories about the Ms. Muskrat’s class. Please contact me at feridawolff@msn.com if you have any questions or would like to receive a copy of the manuscripts.

Also available is a series of alphabet books that are curriculum compatible.

A B See the City takes a walk through the city showing street scenes, sounds, and activities and ends at the zoo with some unusual animals.

A B See the Airport  is an alphabet view of the process of getting to the airport, going through the terminal, and getting onto the plane, which is often a foreign and anxious experience for children.

A B See the Author is a first-person account of the activities of an author (in this case me) as she looks for ideas, writes her stories, and sends out her work.

I am able to add to the series upon request. Please contact me at feridawolff@msn.com if you have any questions or would like to receive a copy of the manuscripts.
